Terms of service

1. Custom Artwork Ownership

By placing an order with Mnemonic, the customer confirms that:

  • They own the submitted artwork, or

  • They have written permission from the rights holder to use it for merchandise (including Smart TapTheLink products).

Customers are fully responsible for ensuring artwork is legally permitted for reproduction.

Mnemonic may request proof of ownership at any time prior to production.

2. Smart TapTheLink URL Submission

For any Smart TapTheLink item (pins, magnets, keychains, etc.), the customer agrees that:

  • They are submitting a correct, accurate, and functional URL (Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, YouTube, website, etc.).

  • Mnemonic will program the link exactly as provided, without modification.

  • Mnemonic is not liable for any of the following:

    • Broken links

    • Incorrect links submitted by the customer

    • Incompatible links on certain devices

    • Links that become unavailable, restricted, or deleted after programming

    • Updates to platforms that prevent proper link behavior

Mnemonic provides no guarantee of how third-party platforms (Spotify, Apple, YouTube, etc.) function, update, or display content.

3. Accuracy Confirmation (Required Checkbox at Checkout)

Customers must check a box confirming:

“I confirm my link is accurate and correct. Mnemonic is not responsible for broken links, typos, platform issues, or device incompatibility. Smart links are programmed exactly as submitted, and I accept all responsibility for the URL provided.”

4. Custom Product Policy

All custom items made by Mnemonic are:

  • Made to order

  • Not returnable

  • Not eligible for refund or exchange once production has started

If a customer provides incorrect files, artwork, or links, Mnemonic is not responsible for reprints or replacements.

5. Production Refusal Rights

Mnemonic retains the right to refuse or cancel any order containing:

  • Copyrighted artwork without clear authorization

  • Hateful, violent, discriminatory, or illegal content

  • Designs violating trademark laws

  • Submissions that appear fraudulent or misrepresent ownership

Orders cancelled for IP violations may not qualify for refunds.

6. Smart TapTheLink Functionality Disclaimer

Smart TapTheLink products rely on external factors outside Mnemonic’s control, such as:

  • Device compatibility

  • User settings (NFC/Smart Tap features enabled or disabled)

  • Case thickness or metal cases

  • Platform behavior of third-party apps (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)

  • Internet connectivity

Mnemonic cannot guarantee universal compatibility with all devices.

7. Customer Liability

The customer agrees to accept full responsibility for:

  • All artwork and files uploaded

  • All submitted Smart TapTheLink URLs

  • Any copyright, trademark, or licensing disputes

  • Content the URL links to

  • Ensuring the destination link is safe, functional, legal, and accurate

Mnemonic is not liable for any legal claims, takedowns, or disputes arising from customer-submitted materials.

8. Mnemonic Liability

Mnemonic is not responsible for:

  • Customer errors in artwork, text, or links

  • Third-party system issues

  • Loss of profits, exposure, or sales related to broken or changed URLs

  • Replacement of products due to user error or device incompatibility

Our responsibility is strictly limited to programming the Smart TapTheLink link exactly as provided and producing the physical item ordered.

9. Replacements & Reprints

Mnemonic will reprint or replace an item only if:

  • There is a manufacturing defect

  • The physical product arrives damaged

  • The programmed link is different from what the customer submitted
    (Proof required.)

Issues related to incorrect or broken customer-provided URLs are not eligible for replacement.

10. Agreement

By completing checkout, the customer agrees to all terms listed above and certifies that all submitted materials are legally permitted for reproduction through Mnemonic.
